Gerald Peterson Obituary

In Loving Memory
Our kind and gentle giant, Gerald Elroy Peterson passed away on September 6th 2018 at the age of 85 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Gerald is survived by his loving wife Penny Peterson, and precious children: Kevin, Gerry, Krystal, Cami, Charles, Tim, Tami, and Doug. Gerald will be greatly missed not only by his wife and children, but also by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gerald was a talented photographer for Utah Dept of Transportation and often enjoyed their family farm with his brothers Garth and Keith. Gerald was a devoted member of the LDS church, and served in the bishopric, as well as many other positions. Gerald is preceded in death by his two daughters Patty and Jenny. The viewing will be held on Monday, September 10th from 6pm to 8pm at Valley View Memorial on 4335 West 4100 South. On Wednesday, September 12th, the viewing will take place at 10am and the funeral will proceed at 11am at the Jordan North 6th Ward Chapel on 4100 South Bangerter Highway.

Dad, the sorrow that I feel at your passing is extreme. I am comforted only by the reunion that is taking place over there. I will miss you so very much. Knowing you were always there made the hardest times bearable and full of hope. I look forward to you dropping by from time to time to give me that gentle nudge... Words can not adequately express the unconditiona,pure love this great man gave so freely. Gentle, Spiritual and Loving Giant indeed. His genuine love for the gospel, his kindness and influence will be with those blessed to have known him. What a blessing his life has been.Sincere condolences to his loving family, friends and associates. His earthly presence will be missed by everyone who knew this gentle giant.
