DAX MANWILL Obituary

Dax Christopher Manwill 1983 ~ 2009 Dax Christopher Manwill, 25, loving husband, father, son, grandson, brother and uncle returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 17, 2009.Dax was born December 21st, 1983 in Bountiful, Utah. Dax was a fierce competitor and enjoyed many sports and outdoor activities. His true love was baseball. He lettered in baseball at Viewmont High School and broke multiple batting records (he was more than eager to see his son Damon (Buddy) set his own records). He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and was elated to see them finally win the World Series. His sarcasm and trash talking will be greatly missed during the summer smashball games at the family cabin at Bear Lake. One of the last things Dax communicated was that Krista is an amazing mother and person. He loved his son with all his heart and adored his beautiful and precious baby Jaidyn. Dax is survived by wife Krista (Bountiful), son Damon (2), daughter Jaidyn (Chica Boo, 10 months), parents Siri and Gary Manwill (Bountiful), sister Marni Willard (Greg) Bountiful, sister Erin Selleneit (Chad) Kaysville, brother Brock Manwill (Kendall) Lakewood, CA, grandmother Jeneal Jorgensen, Bountiful, grandfather Bert Manwill (Barbara), Sandy and nine nieces and nephews. He also had great friends who he had been close with since high school. We miss you and we love you Daxy Boy! There will be a graveside memorial service for family and friends Saturday, August 22nd at 9:00 a.m. at Bountiful City Cemetery 2224 S. 200 W., Bountiful, UT 84010. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for his children at Zion's Bank in the name: Dax Manwill Memorial Fund. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com

"For the first time you can open your eyes. And see the world without your sorrow. Where no one knows the pain you left behind. And all the peace you could never find is waiting there to hold and keep you. Welcome to the first day of your life. Just open up your eyes as I lay you down tonight. Safe on the other side, no more tears to cry".

Dax,I hope you now know how much you were loved. I will miss you more than you could have possibly ever known. You made me laugh, cry and taught me so much about life. I am forever grateful for the time we shared. Watch over us and every once in awhile let us know you are still there.

love you.

I'll never forget how much you made me laugh! From hanging out in Junior High to skipping classes in High School. You are such an awesome guy and great listener and always knew how to have a good time. I'll miss your all too familiar laugh, crazy jokes, and LOTS of memories of "getting into trouble!" I know you were a great husband and father and will be missed but not forgotten. Thank you for being a part of my life and a great friend. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless

Gary, Siri, Marni, Erin, & Brock,

I am sorry to hear of Dax's passing. I remember him as a tough, adventurous little guy up at Bear Lake 20 years ago. He was so determined even as a youngster. Please pass along my thoughts to his wife and children. May you be comforted with sweet memories and the promise of future reunions.

Sincerely,
Larry and Family

I remember walking into my first day at a new school. I was nervous, shy, and scared I wouldn't find any friends. You were sitting in the middle of the 3rd grade class room, you looked at me with a big smile. I knew right then that I found my best friend. Dax, your tough exterior got the best of you, but your SOUL was larger than life. You touched a lot of lives, and I'm going to make sure that everyone always remembers that!!! Your spirit will always be with me and one day your beautiful kids will carry that with them. I wish I could say that I will see ya soon, but you won't. You've installed a new meaning of life in me. I got a lot of work to do down here before I see you again. YOU SAVED MY LIFE!!! But in the mean time, I hope you can work on your Ping Pong game cause my killer spin gave you fits!!!!!!!! Love you man, rest easy.

Dear Dax:

I can't believe your gone, leaving a wife, and two children. You were so proud of them. You got so excited to tell me about them at the gym. I hope they know that as they grown up. You will be missed. My thoughts are prayers are with your family at this time.

Dear Dax,

I still can't believe that your life has come to an end, so many of us wondering why? But someday we'll be able to understand. I know you are in a better place now and with your Heavenly Father, but I sure will miss you and your smiling face. You truly were a great friend and I will always cherish that. You had so many special gifts and talents that I admired in you. I will always love and miss you and can't wait until I will see you again.

To my BullDawg!

Woof Woof! Never forget ya, Daximus!
Saturdays are gonna be lonely, but keep gotta keep on PLAYIN'! Your competitiveness and thirst for sports will never leave me! From a Gator to a Bulldawg, I LOVE YOU MAN!

You meant so much to all of us
You were special and that's no lie
You brightened up the darkest day
And the cloudiest sky

Your smile alone warmed hearts
Your laugh was like music to hear
I would give absolutely anything
To have you well and standing near

Not a second will passes
When you're not on our minds
Your love we will never forget
The hurt will ease in time

Many tears we have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
And no longer in any pain.

To my dearest family and Friends,

some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
