Audra Steadman Obituary

1972 ~ 2013
Our beloved mother, wife, daughter and granddaughter passed through the veil joining waiting family and friends November 18th after experiencing complications in the hospital.
Audra was born in Tucson, Arizona October 18, 1972 to Diane Louise Wynn and David Robert Wisden and was the oldest of 6 children. She loved the desert, hearing the coyotes howl, watching monsoon thunderstorms and the sweet smell of the desert after rain. She loved being part of the Tucson 1st Ward and enjoyed participating in the many activities including the monthly ward dinners, sports, and girls camp up on Mount Lemmon. Family was always Audra's top priority; she had especially close relationships with many family members and friends. Audra was like a second Mom to her younger siblings.
While Audra was in elementary school, her family moved to Manti, Utah for 3 years before moving back to Tucson. In Manti, they lived in a cool old railroad house, and the train engineer regularly threw treats into the front yard for Audra and her siblings.
As a young adult, Audra moved to the Salt Lake, Utah area with her family later following. Audra attended the Crescent 6th Singles Branch where she formed many close friendships and had some zany callings, including Branch Bulletinboardian.
On Friday the 13th in September 1996, Audra married David William Steadman in her favorite temple - the Manti Utah Temple. Together they have four wonderful children and enjoyed spending time together as a family. Audra often mentioned how happy and blessed she was to have such handsome and beautiful children.
They lived in several Utah communities, finally settling in Lehi, Utah in 2003. Audra loved being part of the Snow Springs and Lehi 35th Wards and had many close friendships which she was very thankful for.
Audra always put others first, and was selfless in service towards others. She served in many Church callings, including visiting teacher, primary teacher, den mother and the nursery. Audra loved to garden, decorate, and was an excellent cook. She was excellent in her homemaking skills and made her home a beautiful and welcoming place.
In recent years, Audra experienced significant health problems and was in constant, often unbearable, pain. She pushed through the pain and was an excellent mother and wife, each of her children had a very special relationship with her. She worked diligently to help her children understand the gospel and build strong faith in Jesus Christ and His Church.
Audra is survived by her husband David, children Brandon, Collin, Nathan and Alexis, mother Diane, grandmother Jean Wynn, brothers and sisters Adam, John (Candy), Sherman, Miriam and Robert (Nayelli), and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family through marriage.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Lehi 35th Ward Building (700 South 1700 West in Lehi, Utah). Viewings will be at the church Sunday, Nov. 24th from 6 pm to 8 pm and Monday 9 am to 10:40. Internment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates in West Jordan, Utah.

I'm still to this day in shock over Audra's passing. It just seems extremely unreal and to me just not fair. Audra was always a very happy person and smiled most of the time. Her spirit was so cheerful and loving. I remember as children we had it rough but, no matter what Audra was always happy. I wasn't close to her as adults but, in some weird way I feel I lost a piece of me when Audra passed, we knew each other for 36 years and her memories keep swimming in my head. I'm filled with regret that it took me years to find her and that when I did I didn't become a closer friend soon enough. I know she's happy and pain free where she is and I bet she's the happy helper on the other side too. I finally had my first dream about Audra last night, it was an odd dream but, I believe it was a visit from her and I think I hugged her? It was just nice to see her in my dream and see her happy like always. I'm so sorry to her whole family and I hope you all are doing well? xoxoxo

My family knows the Winn/Wisdens from Tucson. Audra and I connected on Facebook a couple of years ago. I think it is a testament that she never once wrote of her health problems, just always posted about her family, the beauty of the world around her and her many blessings. What a huge lesson to me, to always focus on all our Father has provided, despite our trials. My prayers to you all. May the sweet presence of the comforter bear you through this difficult time. All our love,

Audra was a blessing to all who knew her. She was genuine, loyal, compassionate and had and internal light that resonated about her. The world is dimmer with the loss of that light. She will be missed by all who's lives she touched. Much love my dear sweet sister XOXO

Audra , I just can't even begin to speak of her sweet spirit. She really was a great woman. She embodied Christlike attributes...always loving, always caring, always showing gratitude, and lucky for me, forgiveness. I will love Audra like a sister forever! The impact Audra made on my life , even the lives of my children, is huge. I love you Audra. I will see you again.

I met Audra through my daughter Dawnelle Dickey. I didn't know her well except she was a good friend to my daughter, and I was saddened to hear of her death. My condolences to her family and friends.

My sweet Audi...I am saddened to hear about the loss of such a wonderful lady. Someone who was supportive during the tough days, shared her children when you lost yours, just loved everyone unconditionally. My heart goes out to her family during this tough time.

Audra was the most selfless, kind, loving, and forgiving person I have known. She was a friend to all no matter their station in life. She was taken from us suddenly and unexpectedly. Her passing leaves a hole that cannot be filled. She was mighty like a mountain and now the mountain is suddenly gone. I will miss her and cherish all of the amazing, wonderful, and loving memories she has given to me. Words are not adequate enough to express how special she is and the light she provided to me throughout my life. I love you Audra!
