I'm very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. For many years she and I were in a discussion group in St. Louis and her comments were always insightful. Long before Obama ran for president Nancy predicted that the United States would have a black president before we had a woman president.

Dear Mrs Mae Galvin & other relatives Of Nancy, I had been trying to contact Nancy unsuccessfully for about two months & finally discovered her Sept 2017 obituary from a google search. Condolences from me & my wife to all of Nancy's family & friends. I had known Nancy well for about 10 to 20 years, we had worked together in local progressive activities and we also both dog rescuers.
I knew she had recently retired from St. Louis Univ. Medical Sch. & had bought a house in her hometown near Des Moines, to make visits to you easier than boarding her dogs here, but didn't remember its name. We had feared that she might be sick since she had recovered from cancer a few years ago. It is too bad that she could not enjoy retirement much longer. I hope you found people to adopt her dogs.

I am so sorry to hear about Nancy. I worked across the street at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital and used to speak to her often on the phone.

DR. NANCY GALVIN was a friend whom we have known some 12 years. Our little group, Past Time Players has met once a month for 9 years. We came to know and love Nancy, her wit, her wisdom, her modesty, her intellect and passionate political feelings coupled with genuine knowledge. We admired her, laughed with her and enjoyed her hospitality at her home in Benton Park. The simple truth is that we loved her and will miss her dreadfully.
