CHARLES CAMPBELL Obituary

76, of Good Hart, Michigan, died at home November 3rd. Born in Detroit, Charlie grew up in Pleasant Ridge, and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in history. A career in advertising followed, spanning 35 years, where Charlie was everything from billboard inspector to vice-president. At 63, he left the advertising world behind and earned a Masters Degree in education from Wayne State University. He began a second career as an adjunct professor, teaching at nine different colleges over the next twelve years. Charlie's joys included directing and acting in local theater, painting, writing, and watching sunsets. But of all his accomplishments, Charles Campbell may well be best remembered for his warmth, his love of people, and his relentless sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Ann Kelly; three sons, Mike, Don and Bruce; daughters-in-law, Susan and Ida; grandchildren Colin, Rebecca, Sarah and Andy; step-daughters Saliann, Beth and Molly; step-sons Clay and Gordon; other grandchildren, Kelly, Eliza, Elliot, Katy, Anna, Connor, Ryan, Sam, Maggie and Claire. We'll miss you, Grandpa Charlie. Memorial services will be held Sunday, November 14th, at St. Dunstan's Guild of Cranbrook, 400 Lone Pine Road, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Phone: (248) 644-0527. Celebration ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.
