BOBBY MOON Obituary

BOBBY REX MOON
MISSION - Bobby Rex Moon, born October 15, 1934, in Tipton, OK, he grew up in Frederick, OK. He attended Oklahoma A&M and Abilene Christian. Bob was employed by Dow Chemical, L.T. V., and TXU, where he retired after 25 years. Bob lived in Arlington with his wife, Gene for 28 years; before moving to the Rio Grande Valley, to be full time golfers. He was a lifelong Mason. Bob is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gene; sons, C. Scott Moon (Diane) of Burleson and David Carey Moon of North Carolina; step-daughters, Nancy Goodgion (Ed) of Cleburne, and Joan Miller (Martin) of Keller; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Haskell and Lorene Moon; and brother, Stormy Jones. Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 2:00 pm in St. Vincent's Cathedral Memorial Fund in Bedford, TX. (1300 Forest Ridge). Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Vincent's Cathedral, or a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heavenly Grace Funeral Home and Crematory. (956)797-5500.

Gene, we are so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. It seems any more we are hearing of old friends either very sick or going to be with our Lord far too often. But at our age it won't get any better. Kaye and I met you at a reunion in Oklahoma City several years ago. Sorry we couldn't have been closer friends. God bless.

mr. bob was a wonderful person. he was a great friend, had a good sense of humor, and did not like to be called mr. robert. he would call me gertrude. he will be missed in our community.

Gene, I am so sorry. As you know Conrad passed away with lung cancer on May 14. I'm sure he welcomed Bob to heaven and now they are swapping great golf stores. We have missed seeing you guys. God will bless you and keep you as he is me.
