Mrs. Staton,

Our sincere thoughts of sympathy are with you during this time of such great loss. Mr. Staton was such a wonderful, caring person who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His presence and influence at Our Mother of Mercy Church can never be replaced. He was so good with the young people there, instilling in them such values that will be with them for a lifetime. When Leron was in elementary school, he wrote an essay about Mr. Staton in which he referred to him as the 'Gentle Giant'. He has such fond memories of him and much respect and gratitude.

May your cherished memories of his beautiful life offer you comfort. We are keeping you in prayer. God Bless.

"What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget!
