Kathryn Hoffman

1967 - 2016

Kathryn "Kat" Hoffman, 49, of Colleyville passed away Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, after a 15-month battle with metastatic brain tumors. Memorial service: will be held in the Seattle area in late November; time and place to be announced. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Melanoma Research Foundation (melanoma.org). Kathryn was born in Bronxville, N.Y., on July 22, 1967. She graduated from Interlake High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University. Kathryn was married to Dave Hoffman on July 20, 1991, for 25 wonderful years. Kathryn worked as interim VP of Project Management for Epsilon, but treasured her years with T-Mobile the most. Kathryn enjoyed watching movies with her family, camping with friends, and traveling to Switzerland, the Czech Republic, France, England and Italy. An eternal optimist, she especially enjoyed engaging people and bringing out the best in them, both in her work and in her private life. Kat was also actively involved in Girls Scouts of America, and organizing women's leadership conferences. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Jane Carlson. Survivors: Kathryn is survived by her husband, Dave; children, Jameson and Ashlyn; and sisters, Carolyn and Christina.
