Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment: Glenwood Cemetery, Alvarado. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home.
Bud, the son of Hugh L. and Bessie Moon, was a World War II Navy veteran and retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He was predeceased by his parents and five brothers.
Survivors: Wife, Barbara Moon; sons, Tommy and Becky Moon, Ricky and Lydia Moon, Randy Moon, Ed and Tonja Brownlee, Robert and Shelly Brownlee; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

The Moon family,
My name is Jody Jones, I used to live in Cleburne and fish in the morning time for crappie with Mr. Moon. I am a pastor and have been living in Freeport Texas the last 6 years. I wanted you to know something about Mr Moon that I figured he shared with you but I want to share with also. Before I moved I had the honor of asking him if he had ever put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ to be his savior and he gladly told me that he had many years ago. This was very reassuring to me as a pastor but also as a friend. I believe because of knowing this I can easily say that he is in the presence of the Almighty God right now being blessed with all of Gods holiness. Thank you for sharing him with me and I will continue praying for you in this great loss.
