Mr Sid VanZandt! You are sorely missed. Genuinely one of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of calling a friend, funny as they come, and always accompanied by his retriever "Buddy." Had the biggest heart of gold you could ever find in a person. My condolences to all his friends and family. Sid left behind plenty of stories to share around the campfire. His love of John Wayne and art was unique and made him the lovable person to steal the spotlight in a crowd of people.

I was saddened to stumble across this obituary. I have wonderful memories of Sid when I was young. We would go to Holiday Ranch all the time...I practically grew up there listening to Sammy and drinking Shirley Temples (my 10th birthday was there). Daddy was their chip delivery guy. I still have a couple of paintings that Sid created. So much talent. ❤
