Brother Des was our pastor in the early nineties when our kids (James and Heather) were young teens. He made himself very accessible to the flock, his teaching drew us closer to our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. Years later when we had moved to another area for my husband's job, our son James went to be with the Lord (age 23) and Brother Des came to his memorial service...what a blessing and comfort .

We loved brother Des, his graduation before this outbreak is not a coincidence. He mentored me and my family while we were at Bethesda during the early 90s. I am so sorry he is gone and pray for his dear wife. Heaven is the place to be in the presence of his Saviour.

Just like the reverend Billy Graham..... I KNOW where pastor Des is right now. Perhaps they are talking together in the Lord's house. He will be missed.

Thank you Evans Family for all your love. Des Evans was soo full of love and compassion. The eyes are the window of the soul and you could see the light of Jesus in his eyes . It was a honor to get to know him only for a short time. He will truly be missed and now he will live with Jesus for all eternity . What a great example for us to live a life full of love and compassion like Jesus.

He was a great teacher of the Word of God by far. He was my pastor 30 years ago before I went into the ministry and missionary work in New Mexico and Mexico but always visited Bethesda over the years and recently now attend Bethesda. Thank the Lord Bethesda has recorded all his messages and teachings. He will always live on in our hearts and in the hearts of the thousands of lives who have been impacted by his ministry. What a man of God! Bethesda has been blessed beyond measure.

The Bethesda family blessed our lives for the 18 years we lived in Fort Worth, and Pastor Des was a deep source of that blessing. We remember a phrase he spoke one Sunday night: The nail prints in the hands of The King are more than enough to meet my needs. Pastor Des loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, with all his soul and with all his mind.

A powerful minister who lived the love he preached. Des was my pastor for many years, and his passing is a change of the guard for those who came to Christ under his watch. RIP, Des. Enjoy the company of the Father.
