Johnny, we were brother and sister but our ten year distance in age made it difficult to know you. I was thinking of you today and found your memorium online so I wanted you to know you are missed. Wherever you are in the universe, I hope you are still playing music and cracking jokes. Love you, Fran.

I was actually JW's roomate in Fairfax, California back in the Monster band days. He was one of the most intense singers I've ever met, but he always made me laugh. I considered him a good friend and will always miss him.

As just one of the many musicians having the good fortune to know and perform with John, he will be remembered as a gifted singer and a fun guy to work with. John always brightened every performance with his talent and personality.

John was a friend of mine, former gradeschool classmate, and my bass player in the late 60's in our Rock Band known as The Esquires. He was a very good bass player and singer and a lot of fun to be around for all of us. I will always remember many of the fun times we had playing around Central Ohio with John and me singing many of the top 40 tunes of the day. Give my best to John's family...

To the Waltz Family - We're so sorry for the loss of John. I first met John 38 years ago when I was 7 and he was singing and drumming with my father's (Joe Scott) and uncle's (Mike Scott) band. The sounds of BTO and SW rocked the neighborhood every week for many years. And only John could bring Rick Derringer to the house. We also spent time with John at events in Raysville, and through the Local 189. He will be missed, and may you find peace in his memories. Thanks for many fond memories John, and keep "takin' care of business".
