Lynn Turkelson Obituary

Turkelson Lynn "Turk" Turkelson, 87, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born December 2, 1927 in Kenosha, WI, son of the late Harold and Agnes Shepard Turkelson. Before Turk served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he attended the University of Wisconsin. Turk began his career in sales at McWhite in Kenosha and moved on to McJunkin Corp. in West Virginia and Ohio. On the golf course with friends is where Turk loved to spend his leisure time. A strong amateur golfer, he won many Club and Senior Championships most recently at Brookside Country Club. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Bromley Turkelson; son, Mark (Chip) Turkelson; daughters, Ellen Turkelson and Carole Castleberry; sister, Nancy Long; grandsons, Bryan (Katie) Turkelson, Jeffrey Turkelson and Kenneth Castleberry. Arrangements have been entrusted to NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME NE CHAPEL, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus. Burial will be in Kenosha, WI.
