The Board and the staff of the Ohio Historical Society are saddened by the loss of your father and your mother who you lost just a little over a year ago. They both were extraordinary people, true leaders, generous and admired, respected and appreciated by many. We were extremely blessed to have had both of them on our board and to have had Jack as our Board President. They were true champions advocating for Ohio history. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. May God Bless you all!

To The Chester Family
Jack was simply an amazing human being. He was a larger than life person, like William Saxbe, his friend and law partner.
It was certainly a life learning experience whenever I had the opportunity to talk to him when I was in public office.
His style, gentleness, wit, and integrity was unmatchable.
Jack will be missed by all those who knew him and the community which he cared so much about.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss.
God Bless,
Bob Ney
