Marjorie Coyle Obituary

Coyle Marjorie A. "Margie" Coyle, age 87, left us on June 15 at 11:22 pm. Overlooking the fountain outside of her condo bedroom window comfortable from home hospice care surrounded by her kids (and animals) she went HOME. Peacefully. Born in Glouster, OH, in 1925, Margie was married to three caring men; Robert M. Roehrer, William R. "Ziggy" Coyle, and Ronald P. Beardmore. It was with Ziggy - the love of her life - that she spent 41 beautiful years. Together, with their music stores and with their music (she as vocalist/he on trumpet), they impacted the lives of so many people in Central Ohio plus so many school music kids in the state of Ohio. And together, they built lasting friendships all over the USA (on 3 continents as well) via: the music products industry, ongoing music education endeavors, The Ohio State University, local musician support (particularly jazz), service to multiple non-profits, and neighbors on Fripp Island, SC their "little slice of Heaven on earth." Along with Ziggy, Bob, and Ron Margie is preceded in death by grandparents John and Ethel Buhla, mother Mary Buhla, father Eugene Alden, step-father Art Weifel, aunts Rose, Mary and Helen Buhla, uncles Jack, Joe, Frank, Eddy and Roger Buhla, daughter Vickie, and daughter-in-law Laura Edwards-Roehrer. She is survived by son, Bob (Mitzi) Roehrer; daughter, Karen Rose (Robert) Mathews; daughter, Nancy (Dan) Cotterman; and son, Jeff (Melanie) Coyle; grandchildren, Greg (Kelly) Cotterman, Devon (Leah) Cotterman, Patrick Roehrer, Abbey Coyle, Logan Coyle, Nathan Roehrer, and Carson Coyle; great grandchildren, Owen and Ella Cotterman (Greg/Kelly), Gianna Cotterman (Devon/Leah). Extended family: brother, Ralph (Ann) Alden and family; cousin, Jeannie Cummins and family plus the Beardmore/Floyd families, the Roehrer/McKinley families, and Trent Speelman (Mitzi). A Celebration of Margie's Life will be held on Saturday, July 6, at 10 a.m. at Heritage Christian Church in Westerville (7413 Maxtown Rd., 43082) with family, friends, and great music! More on Margie's music career will be posted here: www.rutherfordfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions go to RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085, (614-885-4006), payable to one of Margie's three favorites: Vaughn Wiester's Famous Jazz Orchestra (Clintonville), Serendipity Stables 7 Healing Horses (near Marysville), and Heritage Christian Church (Westerville). Thank you.

We will miss her so much! She brought a lovely new layer to our lives starting in 2000. That dazzling smile and the upbeat positive way of thinking was so endearing. Margie never knew a stranger and when she gets to heaven, God will take a vacation while she acquaints herself with the crowd.

Margie and Ziggy were an amazing couple. One of my first jobs was at the Coyle store on N. High St. Both Margie and Ziggy were very kind to me.

Nancy and Karen, my deepest sympathy on the passing of your Mom. She was such a beautiful and classy woman. I remember her helping us practice for a talent show at your house. We had on roaring 20's dresses and another time with some kind of cowboy song. I hope to attend her celebration of life service so we can reconnect. Diane Bratton Hendrickson, Columbus, Oh

Marj and Ziggy were so very kind to my father when he suffered his heart attack - Ziggy, knowing from experience, encouraged my dad to maintain a positive attitude - it really helped my dad and I will always be grateful to both Marj and Ziggy for their thoughtfulness - there is a special place in heaven for such kind souls. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time of loss.

Dear Margie,
You were the sweetest great aunt I ever had. I have lots of great memories of you when my family visited you in Fripp Island. You always sent Noah and I the best cookies on our birthdays, and you always gave us the weirdest presents at Christmas, but we all loved them. It was so amazing how you contacted my grandpa at the age of around 70, and told him that you were the sister he never knew about. You were a great addition to our family, and we will always love you. Rest in peace, Aunt Margie. I love you.
