1939 - 2017
Patricia "Patty" Locke, age 78, of Canal Winchester, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Born July 14, 1939 in Franklin, Ohio to the late Edward and Letta (Carpenter) Riddell. She received a Masters in Education from The Ohio State University, and was a retired first grade teacher with Canal Winchester Schools. Survived by her daughter, Laura Ballor (fiancé, James Leek), Canal Winchester; son, Steve (Linda) Locke, Granville; granddaughters, Emily and Ruby Locke; sister, Nancy (Tom) Smith, Middletown; brother-in-law, Phil (Helen) Locke, Bangor, ME; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Michael E. Locke in 2012. Friends may visit 5-7:30 pm Thursday at her residence in Canal Winchester, where a memorial service will follow at 7:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, friends may donate to Indian Trail Library, Canal Animal Clinic, or Meals on Wheels at www.zoemoonastrology.blogspot.com/2017/12/zoe-moon-astrology-weekly-horoscopes_17.html in Patty's memory. Pat was without a doubt the kindest and most patient lady I have ever known. I will never forget how she would stroke and pat my hand during my visits with her.
