Margaret Davis Obituary

Davis, Margaret
1931 - 2018
Margaret (Margie) F. Davis, 86, of Columbus, died January 6, 2018 at First Community Village, Upper Arlington, OH. She was preceded in death by the love of each other's lives, her husband of 66 years, Joseph L. Davis. Sister Jane Conley (Dick) preceded her in death. A proud South High Bulldog alumna, Margie served the community energetically, faithfully and wisely through such organizations as the Columbus Symphony Orchestra Women's Guild, Clintonville Woman's Club, Overbrook Presbyterian Church, and P.E.O. As a testament to who she was, Margie held leadership positions in all, while also being a terrific wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. So sorry to hear about your mother (and father - just learning now). What great people! We're Jackson Co. relatives who remember happy times at the Davis home. My Mom, Margaret (Williams) Lloyd, and Joe went to Sunday School and Christian Endeavor together in Iowa, and then reconnected after she married my father, Lewis Parry, cousin to Aunt Ester. Margie and Joe were just incredible, giving, and kind. So sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Megan Lloyd, Margaret Lloyd, and family

What a wonderful woman! My husband was withl CPS for many years and was in EDCO with Dr. Davis. I always looked forward to the end-of-the -year dinners and chatting with your mother/grandmother. She was always so warm and welcoming - a Class A lady. She will be greatly missed.

Oh how we will miss Margie at First Community! She was so strong after Joe died and knew he was waiting for her. I can see him smiling and giving her a big hug. She so loved her family and had so much fun with her great grandchildren! Jane, Don and the rest of her family will miss her deeply but I know their faith in God will carry them. What a joy it was to get to know both Joe and Margie. I am grateful for that
