1926 - 2020
Morton Epstein, age 93, passed away February 4, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna Epstein; wife of 40 years, Geraldine; brother, Howard V. Epstein. Survived by daughter, Joan Epstein; son, David Epstein. Veteran of WWII and former owner of the Arcade Shoe Store in Logan, OH. Graveside services will be held 11 AM on Friday, February 7, 2020, at New Agudas Achim Cemetery, 2565 Performance Way. Shiva will be observed following the service until 5 PM at the home of Joan Epstein. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wexner Heritage House. Online guest book at www.epsteinmemorial.com

We moved to Logan in 1968. We had three sons and our family purchased shoes from Morton until the store closed. He provided excellent service and quality shoes throughout the years. He was also a leading community citizen. I was a member of the Logan Rotary club when he served as the motivating president. Morton was also a long time client and friend and a caring and kind person. Our condolences to his children and family. We will always remember Morton,

I remember him and his late wife fondly and vividly as I patronized the Arcade Shoe Store where customers were met with such courtesy, knowledge and helpfulness.
Such business practice made for happy customers who returned often. I am grateful for the memory. Mr. Epstein is surely at peace.

So sorry to read of Morts passing. "Buck" as I always called him, and I were great friends for many years. I was the advertising manager at the Logan Daily News and the Arcade Shoe Store was just next door. We visited daily and what a wonderful friend he was. Sending prayers and special thoughts to the Family. Rest In Peace, Buck!!!

My mom and dad would bring all 5 of us to the shoe store at the same time. They could only afford shoes for us twice a year, and Mr. Epstein was always so patient and kind to us as we carefully picked out our shoes (knowing we had to wear them for 6 months, it took a LONG time!). It's a memory of home that I'll never forget. May God bless you and comfort your family.
