Daddy, Tomorrow is my big 40. I can't believe you aren't here to tease me about it. I feel so cheated. the rest of the kids got their ribbing for getting so old, now i feel that it isn't fair. i know you fought to the end and if you had your way you would be right here celebrating with us.Things are different now. there are days when you can't even get out of bed wthout the pain of losing you. I ask myself why you couldn't have taken me with you. I know it couldn't be. there are too many here that need me. you ought to see logan he is getting so big. all he wants is food and lovins.you would be so proud of him. mommy is trying so hard but i'm sure you could imagine what she's going thru. I hope i havn't let you down dad' but i swear i'm doing the best i can do right now. i just miss you so much that it's hard to do right from wrong which i don't even know the difference anymore.so i will celebrate my big 4-0 with pains in my heart cause i don't get that special lecture from you. remember it's been 40 years since you got your finger cut off. what i would give to feel that stub slapping me in my head one more time. by the way, i know you know who stole your july 4th folwers. just let me know and i will take care of them ok. till i see you again. which i hope will be soon. love and miss you 4 ever. paula

Mr. Barrett, I know a couple of your granddaughters, and feel as though I know you as well. When Vicie & I would talk, I'd call you papaw. You are very loved by family members and I know angels have wrapped their wings around you and showing you the paths of heaven. You made your girls proud! I admire them for having such a wonderful papaw!

Sincerely, Teresa Murrell

Grandpa you were the best!! Words could never explain what you meant to me or how much I will truly miss you! When I was preagnant and I knew you were sick I prayed you would make it long enough to hold my baby in your arms ...and you did and I have no regrets! I Love you!

Big Daddy,

Words cannot express what you have and will always mean to those who love and knew you. You loved and protected you family above all. I can only hope that I can be half the person you were. I will miss you but I know that you will continue to watch over all of us. You are and always will be my hero.

Love, Vicie Mae
