Brendan Michael Behan passed away unexpectedly Saturday September 5, 2015, just one week after his 10th birthday. Brendan was born August 28, 2005 in Plano, Texas, to Martin and Misty Behan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tyler Scott Brown, his maternal grandfather, Weldon Brown, his paternal grandparents, James Behan and Dorothy Gross Behan, his aunts, Helen Dhooghe and Theresa Behan, and his cousin, Patrick Behan.

He is survived by his mother and father, his brother, Collin, his sister, Jocelyn, his maternal grandmother, Janie Moore Brown of Caddo, Oklahoma, his many aunts and uncles, Scott Brown and his wife, Delaine, and family of Durant, Oklahoma, Carol and David Hodge and family of Caddo, Oklahoma, Bill and Shelagh Henson and family of Midland, Texas, Barney and Margie Behan and family of Lewisville, Texas, Michael and Rosemary Behan and family of Fort Worth, Texas, Marian Behan Wrona and family of Irving, Texas, Vincent Dhooghe and family of Era, Texas, John and Mary Anne Behan of Dallas, Texas, James Behan of Dallas, Texas, Patricia and Jody Hamblen and family of Irving, Texas, Joe and April Behan and family of Irving, Texas, Mary Carole and Joe Morris and family of Irving, Texas, Kathleen and James Treadway of Irving, Texas, Nancy and Ollie Reiter and family of Irving, Texas.

Brendan attended The Highlands School in Irving Texas with quite a few of his cousins. He was a very loving and mischievous boy's boy. He was particularly protective of his older brother and baby sister. He loved playing non-stop with them and with his 150 or so cousins and second cousins.

Brendan was a great practical joker, very proud of being Irish and an expert at photo bombing. Brendan had the most tender heart, willingly giving his toys to those who had none. Brendan could eat his weight in spaghetti and loved his dog Tucker. We miss your laughter, fun, gentleness, and big dimpled smile.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Colleyville. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, Oklahoma.

Brendan was a joy to have in my library class over the last, few years. Each of his classmates will be dedicating a book in his memory for our permament collection. This act is in keeping with the words of the Irish poet Brendan Behan, "Inspirations never go in for long engagements; they demand immediate marriage to action." God love you, Brendan!
