Helen Wagner Obituary

Helen C. Wagner Helen C. Wagner, longtime resident of Livermore, died June 12, 2005 surrounded by much of her family. Born Feb. 24, 1923 in Oakland, she graduated from the University of California at Berkeley where she met her husband, Fred. They moved to Livermore in 1948 where they raised their four children, Caroline, Fred, Jay and June. Active in the community, Helen was a member of Soroptimist, Eastern Star, the Mulberry Branch of Children's Hospital, 99s (women pilots) and the Shriner's Zen Sayedah group for wives. She also drove patients for the Cancer Society for many years and sat on the board of Valley Memorial Hospital for 9 years. She leaves her husband, their four children and their spouses, their six grandchildren, a sister, and many more family and friends. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 17, 2005, at 1pm at the Wilson Family Funeral Chapel at 3070 East Ave. in Livermore. A reception will follow at their home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Mulberry Branch of Children's Hospital of Oakland.
