Betty Frasheski Obituary

Betty Frasheski
July 30, 1923 ~ April 3, 2015
Resident of Danville, Ca
On April 3, 2015, at 10 p.m., Betty Virginia Frasheski (Anderson) left this world to be with the God she faithfully served her whole life long. She joins her husband Quentin Ulysses Frasheski, whose death on December 27, 2014, preceded hers by mere months. After 91 years of living as a remarkably devoted Christian, it is no coincidence to those who knew Betty that she departed on Good Friday in San Ramon California, surrounded by the love of family in the time leading up to her death.
Betty's life began on July 30, 1923 in Des Moines Iowa. She was raised by her parents, Conrad and Edith (Beck) Anderson, with her siblings, Conrad (Andy), Eugene, Gerald and Beverly. In October of 1944, Betty left home to join the US Navy, where she met and fell for the charms of Quentin Frasheski, a member of the US Coast Guard. Quentin and Betty were wedded on April 13, 1946 and together raised three children Andrew, Timothy, and Sue. The family lived in Oakland and Castro Valley in homes built by Quentin, a licensed Contractor.
Betty modeled admirable priorities, keeping the love of God and the care of human beings above all else in her life. Known for reaching out to those in need, Betty volunteered her time at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital and the Children"s Home Society. The doors of Betty's home were open to all people. Along with the aromas of her famous Beef Wellington and rotisserie chicken, Betty made everyone feel welcome with her bubbly laughter, generous spirit, and endless hugs. To know Betty was to know unconditional love.
Betty will be fondly remembered by her three children: Sue(Joe) Giacomini, Tim(Ellen) Frasheski, Andy(Ana Bertha) Frasheski; nine grandchildren; Shannon(Chad) Pace, Timothy Giacomini, Kristin Frasheski(Bret Ingold), Erin Frasheski, Megan Frasheski, Ryan Frasheski, Anita(Alex) Fuentes, Katia(Thomas) Matsuoka, Marco Florian Vega; siblings; Conrad Anderson and Beverly Dubos; Mrs. Gerald Anderson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many relatives, dear friends and staff at Brookdale, especially Watson Groce; and all the people whose lives were touched by Betty.
The family welcomes anyone who knew and loved Betty to a celebration of her life to be held at 11:00 a.m. on May 16, 2015 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville California.

Though she is gone from this earth, I feel my Mom's sweet presence with me every day. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her and miss her. I know she touched the lives of many while she was here and I look forward to the day we are reunited.

Always a good friend, I will always miss her

My mother will best be remembered by her reaching out to people with her compassionate, unconditional love for family and strangers alike. She gave me her love for food and joy of cooking, which I will treasure always. Until we meet again, my sweet Mom....thank you for your steadfast love, which I will carry with me always. Forever your loving daughter, Sue

I met Betty at Navy Boot Camp in 1944 and we immediately bonded. I have never had a better friend. We have shared many wonderful times together.

I remeber Betty being warm, caring, and very loving to me, eventhough she barely knew me and my family. I believe she modeled the life of Jesus through her spirit and her life. Thank you Betty; Kathie and I will miss you.

Betty will always be remembered as my friend. We were neighbors, friends, co-horts. She always did unbelievable things for me. She helped out when I was hospitalized, taking care of the house etc. She was a confidant and dear friend. I truly loved her. She will be missed by many, I know. Especially her family, my deepest sympaty goes out to you all.
