Dear McDonalds,

Sally wrote us at Christmas that Susan was not doing well, but we were still grived to hear the news. I regret that your cousin in Chicago has not been in touch with you all more in these past years, but I always remembered Susan very fondly and am deeply sorry for your loss.

With love and friendship,

Andy Le Peau

It’s really quite hard to describe just how great Susan was. A collection of words come to mind: warm, caring, high positive energy, fun, serious, smart …. She was my mentor and had a much larger impact on my life than I believe she probably ever knew.

I am grateful for my blessings of having known her and worked with her. And I’m comforted by knowing how much she spread her legacy to her and Steve’s three wonderful kids and all who got to know her.

Steve, Jennifer, Jackie and Ryan, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. She was truly an amazing person.

I will miss Mrs. McDondald very much. She was like a second mom to me growing up. Whenever me and Jackie got in trouble, she would ground us both! She was always there for me for anything that I needed. Her family and friends are in my prayers and I will never forget her.
