Heather Metcalf Obituary

Heather Metcalf
Jan. 21, 1944 - Aug. 16, 2016
Moraga
Beloved wife of Brian Metcalf.
Heather Metcalf died peacefully in her home on August 16th, 2016. Heather and Brian spent 46 beautiful years in marriage. Heather was an artist, who loved animals, her home and her friends. Her abstract paintings, related to images construed from her koi pond adorn her house and reflect her personality, being full of light and color. Originally born in Australia, her earlier work reflected Australian scenes, but gradually her work became more abstract. She brought her mother Connie from Australia to live in Moraga and looked after her until death, always with loving care. Her life revolved around her husband Brian, her cats and koi, her art work, her garden and her friends. She was an active member of the Moraga Art Gallery.
Heather is survived by her husband Brian and cousins Philip, Ruth and Chrissy in Australia.
She was beloved by all and will be sorely missed.
A private service will be held at her home, details to be announced.
