Al was always a favourite umpire of mine when I was on the diamond. I loved that he would always stop and speak with me even long after I had stopped playing in ladies league and wouldn't see him as often. My deepest sympathy to all his family and friends who are missing him.

Al, I will sadly miss you. You were the only one that has ever given me an opportunity and for that, I will forever be grateful. Till we meet again at that big ball diamond in the sky. God Bless.

Our deepest condolences to Al's family. He will be fondly remembered by many people across this province & across Canada.... whether be on the diamond or off, in the stands, in a board room or on a host committee. Al wore a lot of hats and he certainly has left his mark in this softball world and in our hearts. God Speed Al. Love your Softball Family.

Michael and Michelle, I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. It's been a terrible year for you. Both of your parents were such kind, loving people. I can't begin to imagine your heartbreak. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
