Alexander Campbell

CAMPBELL, Alexander Joseph On February 5, 2009, Alexander Joseph Campbell of Westlock, AB passed away at the age of 90 years. Alex is survived by his sister, Margaret Heisler of Calgary. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Mary Campbell; brothers Neil Campbell, Father Malcolm Campbell, Monsignor Colin Campbell, Ian Campbell; and sister, Penelope Dupont. Alex was born in South Uist, Scotland on November 27, 1918. As a young boy he came to Canada with his parents and two of his brothers where the family homesteaded in the Westlock area. Alex was a person of great faith and was well respected. He had many friends who appreciated his wisdom, insight and sense of humour. Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Westlock Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Westlock with Father Dario Abram officiating.
