I am so saddened to have just heard of Dougie Doo's passing. He was out insurance consulting agent for many years. He always worked hard to get the very best deals for his clients.
I will miss his visits and his newest joke when our policy comes due later this year. Sincere condolences to his family he was a unique human being.

Hey Dougie....was not more than a few weeks ago that you e-mailed me having seen my picture somewhere to remember a TCS football game a Varsity Stadium back in 1960 in which we both played a part. How you were always able to light up the lives of those around you by remembering everything and by putting others ahead of you. Congrats. on a wonderful life, well lived. Bob Stone

My memories of "Dougie Doo" go back to childhood and the Thursday afternoon visits to our mutual grandmother's home in Hamilton, ON. Dougie would always have us laughing and enjoying each others company just a little bit more with his exuberance. My regards and sympathies to his wife, Sarah and sons Ridley and Roone.

Alan and I are thinking of all Doug's family as you have your Celebration of Life gathering today. We have just landed from the US to our new home at Lake of Bays, and well remember our visit here with Doug and Sarah fondly. I can't believe he is gone, but he will live on in our hearts and minds.

Dougie Doolittle - a person and a name that will live on in our hearts for eternity. Doug was an inadvertent larger than life character who was truly one of the good guys. The Edmonton and Royal Glenora Club squash community has lost a true friend and supporter. I will long think of Doug and his endless array of infamous stories and mannerisms both on and off of the squash court. Each memory of Doug will bring a smile to my face and my heart. A life well lived and fondly remembered. You did good my friend.

My condolences Sara...such a shock! I didn't know Doug well but when Phil and I visited with you he seemed always so upbeat and caring. He made people smile and feel good about themselves...a real marker of a kind man. I'll miss him.

So very sorry to hear of the passing of Dougie. He provided insurance for my firm for many years but it was his sense of humour I enjoyed the most. We had many laughs over the years. He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

Doug Doolittle was a great friend of our family and I have many great memories of family get togethers with the Doolittles in Edmonton and at their old Lake Wabamun cottage.
He was my Dad's best friend when I was growing up and I remember that he always went out of his way to teach me life skills such as how give a proper handshake. To take a firm grip and the look the man in the eye, something he tested me on frequently. I always looked forward to catching up with Mr. Doolittle at TCS Alumni events and he will be greatly missed.
