PIKE, there was and always will be just one. You couldn't help but like the him. He would help you with anything, share unselfishly his wonderful memory of those in Elgin whom as an officer you needed to know. Few come along like Pike and this old World is left with a void with his passing. Memories, luckily we all have those to hold onto as we remember him today. My condolences to the family. You can be assured that the Elgin Police Department family have you in their thoughts and wish to pass along a great big hug from each of us to each of you.

Lt Piske was a great man to work for and a great detective. He knew the people in the city. I learned so much and enjoyed having him as a mentor in my detective years. My thoughts and prayers are with family during this time. It was great you got to enjoy some retirement years.

Our deepest condolences to the family. I Always remember Al's incredible memory of people's street names as well as their relationship to each other and his deduction skills. Overall, I recall him as a good cop that I respected and admired. The city was lucky to have his dedication to duty.

Very saddened to hear of Lt Piskes passing. He was a great man, husband, father and police officer. Al was the epitome of what every cop strives to be. God bless him and rest his weary soul.
