Arthur Horn Obituary

Arthur D. Horn Arthur D. Horn, 75 of Elgin passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. He was born December 20, 1934 in Chicago the son of Harold and Helen Barkley Horn. He had been a resident of Roseland, Elmhurst, Villa Park and Elgin since 2001. He had been employed by Libby, McNeil and Libby and then Firestone Tire Co. before retiring. Surviving are he wife of 52 years, Sharon Houser Horn; two children, Debra K. (Bruce) Lacey of Cary and Douglas A. Horn of Elgin; two grandchildren, Joshua and Michael Krich; one sister, Yvonne Berkley of Florida and one brother, Harold E. Horn of Romeoville and several nieces, nephews and a cousin; and a sister-in-law, Pamela (Owen) Wilcox of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Elinor Shepardson A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 P.M., December 6, 2009 at the Highland Ave. Church of the Brethren, Elgin. Visitation with the family will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Boy Scouts of America, Three Rivers Council, 415 N. 2nd St., St. Charles, IL 60174-1254, the Salvation Army or the charity of ones choice. www.lairdfamilyfuneralservices.com
