The iPhone Post
I use a notebook computer at work, but all my off-hours-computing gets done using an iPhone which, ironically, is paid-for by my employer. The iPhone like David Ing describes isn't just a phone that plays my iTunes (which is what attracted me). Safari, the AppStore, and Exchange compatibility makes the iPhone the most heavily-used thing I own (surpassing the margarita shaker). It's most annoying and yet most ingenious feature, at least for us ex-Blackberry users, is the lack of a blinking light to indicate new information has arrived.
Finally, I'm weaned from those Pavlovian sneaky peeks to see if that little light is flashing while others often significant others are speaking to me. Yet in every dead, in-between-type moment like waiting for take-out food, waiting at traffic lights, waiting out a design review, and especially waiting for the quarterly employee meeting to end my hand involuntarily grasps presciousss (you know what I mean) and in the same move my thumb deftly swipes away standby mode. Password protection is such a waste of time. On the Blackberry, I surf email. On the iPhone, I surf the world.

I am so sorry for your great loss. I have great memories of playing the trumpet with him in the TPHS jazz band. He was a great friend in school, and a great musician.
I wish your family the very best through this very tough time.
Please let me know if I can help in anyway possible.

Erik was a dear friend in high school. We had many rides together in the TPHS band bus, when Erik would tell jokes, make silly references to the Muppets and sing me "Blue Skies." We even went to prom together. My heart is hurting having discovered obituary. I was just recently thinking of how I'd like to get back in touch with him.
It's a beautiful obituary and I'm comforted to hear he had a life full of love and fun. To his family, I'm so sorry for your terrible loss. (I lost my father from cancer when he was 52 - so terribly young.) I hope that the love and memories of happiness will sustain you as you recover from this.

This is such a shock. I'm sorry to hear this and sorry for your loss. Our TPHS band president, Rocketry and Astronomy Club president, and a great guy. Just today he came to my thoughts during lunch.
Back after a Halloween Friday night game we all went out to eat and then Erik and I saw Halloween II at UTC.
Thoughts and prayers to his family.

We know that God is the God of all comfort, for he said: II myself am the One that is comforting you people. He also said: Like a man whom his own mother keeps comforting, so I myself shall keep comforting you people.Isaiah 51:12; 66:13.Please accept our condolences on your loss. LC

My deepest condolences to the entire Johnson family. Although Erik was brilliant I found his greatest trait to be his kindness. Erik was a friend to all and treated everyone with the utmost respect. I wish I had known him much better. No words can take away the pain. Know that Erik made people better, not just at home, but in every aspect of his life.

Erik was a class act, a super intelligent guy who was extremely humble and very kind. He will be missed sorely by his Epicor family and the Epicor Community as a whole. Rest in peace Erik and thanks for all you did for us
