I realize it has been almost 20 years. Going through my late mother's few things I still have I found an address book with Bud Johnson's name and address in it. I decided to do an online search of Bud's name and this notice came up. My mother worked for him when he had Financial Survey Co in Bellevue PA around 1970. Mom often said how much she enjoyed being his office secretary during that time. She would mention getting a small gift for his son, I think his name was Ricky? He loved flashlights and she often would find one she thought he'd like. Bud and his family often went up to Chautauqua Lake and back in the 50s my folks often took us up to that lake for Summer vacations. Lots of memories seeing Bud's obituary. My dad passed away suddenly in June '71 when I was in the Army here in Colorado and I went back on emergency leave to take care of mom for a short time. I remember her saying that Bud and his family were such strength to her during that ordeal. Later in 73 I moved mom out here to Colorado and in 1997 she had developed serious dementia and Alzheimer's passing away in 2004. I often think of Bud and what seemed like a very pleasureable time in her life as a professional secretary taking care of his office. I hope his family has prospered in the years since his passing. It can be a difficult time for any family as I lost my wife of 50 years this March 2024. It's a process we all must eventually experience. My sincere wishes for long lives filled with happiness to his family.
