I remember grandpa as a person to go to when your sad, bored, mad, any mood you are in he'll always cheer you up.

I am so very sorry to learn of Bill's death. There was so much hope for his recovery - not so long ago - in my conversations with Jean on the internet. There is no doubt in my mind that he enjoyed living! Jean and his children and grandchildren provided him with so much sustaining support and love! I remember Bill as a very down-to-earth, kind man, who liked to engage you in conversations about controversial topics. He will be missed. My husband, Bill, and I send our deepest condolences to Jean and her family.

Bill Scott will forever remain in my heart as my Grandpa. I have and will always love him more than he loved ice cream.

My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved Mr. Scott and miss him dearly. I know this especially includes his son, Alan, who I have the privilege of knowing as a friend from college. I know how much he loved his Dad.

We only knew Mr. Scott for a short time when my best friend Heather married his wonderful son Alan. He was such a pleasant man and seemed to enjoy all the festivities of the wedding as well as having all of his family with him. We will always remember him as a gentleman, loving father and grandfather, and someone who could add life to any party.

To the Scott family - you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

With love,

As a child, I spent a lot of time over the Scott's house playing with Alan. I remember that Mr. Scott was the first person I ever heard of to buy a computer through the mail. I was amazed! He was also the first person I knew to get online, and he'd spend hours debating with people on bulletin boards. He was such a free thinker! He'd research his position and then defend it with such passion. He definitely enjoyed the art of debate.

It was obvious to me that Mr. Scott was a great father and husband. He loved his kids and always made me feel welcomed. He will be missed.

I am saddened by the passing of my sailing buddy Bill of years long past. He was a fearless sailor ... and he had to be given the Erie bay weather and the old 18-foot sloop, the Lorelei, which we ventured out on. Neither of us was too good at golf, but we certainly tried at the Erie Muni links. Bill, who was an Academy High classmate, was a true friend, and I will always cherish his memory.
