Faye Delores Harris, 77, died peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at York Hospital. Born in Westminster, MD on November 15, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Zepp Sentz and Herbert Sentz. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Raymond R. Harris.
Before retiring she managed W.A.M. Deli at The Westminster Antique Mall in Westminster. She graduated from Westminster Senior High School in 1957.
Faye attended First Church of God in Westminster and Carrollton Church of God in Finksburg. She was a Girl Scout leader of troop #495, in the 1960's.
A love of all animals led her to start a 4-H group for the breed of the French Alpine Dairy Goats. She was also known for her herd of Fainting Goats, miniature horses, donkeys and mules.
Besides her husband she is survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ruth Ann and Jack Phelps of Hampstead, Thomas and Donna Harris of Westminster, Chris and Kerri Harris of Rocky Ridge, MD, Marci Harris of Westminster; cousins, Jo Harp and husband, Ben Myer of Westminster, Judy Dodrer and husband, Henry of Westminster and Jean Jones and husband, Ron of Summerville, SC, with whom she was raised. Also survived by cousins; nieces; and nephews. She was predeceased by brother-in-law, Joseph Harris.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
