Euela Randall Obituary

Euela Marie (Smith) Randall was born in Bartlesville on December 22, 1923. Her parents were Fred and Agnes (Hagan) Smith and younger brother Glenn Smith. She attended Bartlesville schools and graduated in 1941 from College-High School. She went on for a year of junior college there and then attended Oklahoma A&M College (now University).
Following her formal education, she was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as a personnel clerk in the Production Department and later as a secretary in the Gasoline Dept. for a total of five years.
She was active in the Jane Phillips Sorority and in Beta Sigma Phi business women's sorority.
During her years with Phillips, she met Jack Randall who also worked for the Company, and they were married on April 3, 1948. She soon retired to be a full-time homemaker, and they moved several times with her husband's work, alternating between Bartlesville and Borger, Texas. During those years she born two sons, Randy and Jim, and a daughter, Judy, and she devoted her attention to being a good mother. She was a Den Mother when her boys were in Cub Scouts and she home-schooled a group of neighborhood children when her daughter was kindergarten age. She also taught a Sunday School class of young children in their church in Borger as well as First UMC in Bartlesville.
In 1965 the family settled permanently in Bartlesville. In 1977-79, however, after the kids were grown, Euela and Jack lived in northern England temporarily for 30 months during his work with construction and startup of the Phillips Teesside facilities.
The family loved camping, whether by tent, trailer, or motor home. They took trailer trips to the Rocky Mountains and to the eastern states to see many historical sights with the children. Euela and Jack also took several trips to Europe and to the Holy Land. At home they have been active members of East Cross United Methodist Church since 1976. Euela volunteered for several years at the Tuesday House, a multi-church resale store for the benefit of the MUTUAL Girls Club. She also enjoyed Bible study and prayer groups, as well as gardening and family gatherings.
Euela was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband Jack of the home, a sister-in-law Eleanor Smith of Tulsa, OK; three children: son John "Randy" Randall of Bella Vista, AR, son Jim Randall and wife Leslie of Killeen, TX, and daughter Judy and husband Tom Knobeloch of Colorado Springs, CO; four grandchildren: Andrew Randall and wife Carrie of Lubbock, TX, Sarah (Randall) Cain of Amarillo, TX, Roger Knobeloch and wife Bekah of Lincoln, NE and Jill Knobeloch of Chicago, IL; and nine great grandchildren.
Euela was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Glenn E. Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Journey Home at 900 Washington Blvd Bartlesville, OK 74006.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Monday, January 21, 2019 at East Cross United Methodist Church in Bartlesville, OK followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Jack, you have my deepest sympathy. I know Euela's passing was expected, but that doesn't ease the grief.
I've thought so many times about the enjoyable visit you and she paid us in Waukegan years ago. It was so good to meet her and to see you again after all the years since Iowa State.
My condolences to your family too
