Thomas was born on May 9, 1939 and passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017. Thomas was a resident of West Bend, Wisconsin at the time of passing. He graduated from Waupun High School as class President 1957. He then graduated from UW Madison in 1961 with a teaching degree. A Memorial Service will be at 12:00 pm on Wednesday February 8 2017 at Fifth Avenue Methodist Church 323 S. 5th Ave. West Bend with Pastor Clarissa Martinelli presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH ONLY on Wednesday February 8 from 10:00 am until time of service 12:00pm. Memorials are appreciated to the Parkinson Association 2819 W. Highland Ave. Milwaukee WI 53208 or the charity of your choice.

He was a fabulous teacher and all around gentle soul. I had him as a teacher in junior high back in the 1960's in Loveland, Colorado. RIP, Mr. Bittner.

So sorry to hear about Tom. It has been many years since corresponding but have thought of him often.
We worked together in Colorado Springs and kept in touch after his moving to Denver and then on to West Bend. I've thought of Tom often and want to often my sympathy to his family.
