of Townsend; 33

TOWNSEND -- Caitlin Virginia Elizabeth Snaith, 33, formerly of South Row Road, died Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Health Alliance - Leominster Hospital after suffering many years from mental health issues.

For the last seven years, she resided in Somerset.

She was born and raised in Townsend, the daughter of Jonathan L. and Pamela V. (Oswald) Snaith and attended local schools and eventually graduated from Seaway Tech, in Norwood, New York.

After high school, she became certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked with people for several years. Caitlin enjoyed crafts, soap making, her pets, camping and being outdoors.

Besides her parents of Townsend, Caitlin leaves her children Sara-Rose Snaith of Townsend and Malachi Chansky of Ankeny, Iowa; her brother and sister-in-law Nicholas and Gracie Snaith of Medford, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves her longtime companion, Luciano Travassos of Somerset.

SNAITH -- A memorial service will be held 7PM Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Townsend Congregational Church, Brookline Street, Townsend. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the National Alliance of Mental Illness of Massachusetts (NAMI Mass), The Schrafft's Center, 529 Main St. Suite 1M17, Boston, MA 02129 or www.namimass.org.

The T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street, Townsend Center is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was my roommate while attending Hyde school in 1996-1997. She was kind, fragile and hilarious. I remember wearing each other’s clothes. Arguing over cleaning. Coffee Shop Sundays. Lots of good memories. I’m really sad to hear of her passing.
