June Golder Obituary

June C. Golder

Melbourne - June C. Golder was born on 3/2/1924 in Minneapolis. She was a registered nurse and moved to Melbourne, FL with her family in the early 1960s. She helped her husband Harold start his general surgical practice and then she focused her time on raising her 3 children. They settled in Melbourne Village where June lived for over 55 years. June was very active in Village life and enjoyed hiking, swimming and being with her many friends. She was especially close to Erna Nixon and helped to make the Erna Nixon Park a reality.

She recently passed away from a brief illness on November 5, 2020. She is survived by her three children, Stephen Golder, Barbara McClellan, and James Golder, as well as her 5 grand children, Nathan Golder, Lorna Sherwinter, Sam, Joe & Katie McClellan as well as two great grandchildren, Adam Sherwinter and Liam McClellan and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Bud" Golder and her daughter-in-law Leigh Thomes Golder.

A funeral Service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal church on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 2 PM. Donations may be made to Vitas Hospice and/or the Erna Nixon Hammock.
