I met Norma at the gate at the Rebel Games, in Kissimmee, FL were we took our team for spring break.
She and Ceil were always there to welcome us every morning and looked forward to seeing us the next day, as did I enjoy seeing the two of them.
I truly enjoyed going in between our games, to visit with the fantastic duo, they always had a smile for me, and had an interesting story to tell.
Norma I will miss you my dear friend. Rest in Peace.

My friendship with Norma is not as long as other of her friends, I'm sure, but I grew to cherish her as a mentor and dear friend.
We met and became friends at the gate at the Osceola County Softball Complex in Kissimmee, Florida. As a Division III coach, we take our team to the Rebel Spring Games each spring break.
At the conclusion of our week, I always made time for Norma to come share her experiences and life philosophies with our team. In my opinion, we are never to old to learn from those wiser than ourselves. Our team so loved to listen to Norma. Our players throughout the years always talked about Norma's time with the team and her words of wisdom!
The best part of our day was going in and going out of the complex because she was always there to greet us, wish us much success and care about what had transpired during the day.
Kathy Veroni was kind enough to make a DVD of Norma's visit with the team last year. With many pictures and put to music it has become one of my most cherished possessions.
I knew Norma wasn't up to par last year and I worried about her not feeling well. It will be with a very heavy heart that I walk through the gate this year at the Rebel Spring Games knowing that my dear friend is not there.
You will always be in our thoughts and in our hearts. And to you, Ceil, you are in our prayers as well.
Rest in peace, dear friend. We will miss you.
