William M. Bogart

- - William M. Bogart passed away on Thursday afternoon, June 28, 2018. Bill was born to Robert and Mabel Bogart on January 21, 1923 in San Mateo, Florida, the third of four children. Bill grew up in Daytona Beach. When World War II broke out, he joined the Navy and saw action in the Pacific on the aircraft carrier Bennington. Bill left the Navy at the end of the war and married A. Joyce Hall. They had one daughter, Beverly. Bill worked for NASA until he retired in 1985. Then he and Joyce devoted themselves to serving the Early Risers Sunday School class until they went into assisted living in 2016.

Bill was predeceased by his wife Joyce, his brothers Chester and Bob, and his sister Helen. He is survived by his sister Ann Porter, daughter Beverly Pilkington, and granddaughter Rachel Rowe.

Bill's memorial service will be held in the chapel at First Baptist Church Merritt Island at 10:00 on Thursday, July 5.

Donations may be made in Bill's name to Gideons International or Early Risers Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. If donating to the class, please put "Early Risers Class Ministry" in the memo line and enclose a note stating the donation is for the class.
