William Daeffler Obituary

WEEDSPORT – William Daeffler, 84, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017.

Friends and family are invited to call hours Saturday September 16 from 9-10 a.m. at the Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo, NY. A funeral service with full military honors will immediately follow calling hours at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wright Avenue, Waterloo.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Hospice, of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, New York 13021.

William was born on June 2, 1933 in Waterloo, N.Y. the son of the late Otto and Elsie May (Green) Daeffler. He attended Waterloo Schools and FLCC in Canandaigua. He served our country in the Air Force from October 1951 to August 1955. William he worked for security at the Seneca Army Depot and was a retired Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy. Past Vice President and President of Finger Lakes Law Enforcement Association.

William is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Brooks) Daeffler; his daughters Kim (Jere) Snow of Cato, and Shawna (Todd) Dykhuizen of Newark; his sons Theodore (Eleana) Daeffler, Gerald (Stephanie) Daeffler and Daniel Daeffler all of Weedsport and Randy Daeffler of Marcellus; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; a brother Wayland Daeffler of Waterloo; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by his sisters Beverly, Delyghte and Bertha and his brother Weldon
