FRANCIS BURKE Obituary

FRANCIS "FRANK" N. BURKE, 85, of New Haven, Ind., passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at 12:35 a.m. at Majestic Care of New Haven. Born Aug. 2, 1933 in Montclair, N.J., he was a son of the late J. Edward Burke and Myrtle (Nugent) Burke. He attended Notre Dame University, was a self-employed accountant and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Orchard Ridge Country Club. He is survived by sons, Robert (Teresa) Burke of Fort Wayne and Cristopher (Cuongvu) Burke of Irving, Texas; daughter, Kathryn (Doug) Houser; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Jay (Mari Jayne) Burke of Montgomery, Texas and Gary (Ricky Edwards) Burke of Franklinton, N.C; and two nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Burke. Memorial Mass is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, at St. John the Baptist Church, Fairfield Ave., with visitation one hour prior to the service starting at noon. To Frank's family, sorry for your loss. Jeremiah 29:11, 12 assures us that God is thinking thoughts of peace towards us, to give us a future and a hope, and that if we come and pray to Him, He will listen to us. May that bring you comfort at this difficult time.
