THOMAS G. ADAMS

THOMAS G. ADAMS, 77, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Samuel Gordon and Wilma G. Adams. Tom was a North Side High School and Purdue University graduate. He was the president and proud owner of the Adams & Walda Furniture Galleries, retiring after 39 years. His memberships included the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, Better Business Bureau of Northeast Indiana, Midwest Home Furnishing Association, North Side High School Alumni Association, F.W. Purdue Club, First Presbyterian Church (Elder) and was a former member of the Fort Wayne Country Club. He also served on the Fort Wayne City Council and Plan Commission and was recently named one of North Side High School's Distinguished Alumni. Surviving are his wife, Nancy J. Adams; sons, Samuel Gordon (Tara) Adams II and Benjamin Harmon Adams; daughter, Elizabeth Adams Hagerman; sister, Sharon Hartman; and grandchildren, Breanna Adams, Brady Adams, Maya Adams, Becca Adams, and Drake Hagerman. Memorial service is 3 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, in the McMillen Chapel at First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St., with visitation one hour prior to the service. The family also welcomes friends to join them at a reception immediately following the service in the McKay Hall at the church.
