Irene Tucci Obituary

ROCHESTER ; Irene Evangeline Tucci, of Rochester, N.H., joined her beloved husband, John (Johnny "Toots" Tucci) on Jan. 27, 2008.

The daughter of the late John and Martha Kolczynski, she was born in Trenton, N.J., in 1916, and was a communicant of St. Hedwig's Church.

In 1977, she and her husband, John, moved to Rochester, where they joined St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of the Rochester Area Senior Citizens, the Good Ol' Sports, and the Somersworth Grange No. 264. She was also a volunteer at the thrift shop at the Trinity Anglican Church.

The widow of John Louis Tucci, who predeceased her in 1987, she is survived by two daughters, Martha-Rose and her husband, Kurt Hauschka, with whom she resided, and Patricia Irene and her husband, George Scerba, of Southhampton, N.J.

Irene also leaves three brothers, Robert Kolczynski and his wife, Katherine, of Cedar Run, N.J., John Kolczynski and his wife, Kathy, of Brooksville, Fla., and their daughter, Julianna, who always remembered "Babci" with special cakes that made her very happy, Walter Krolikowski and his wife, Sheila, of Ewing, N.J.; her sister, Henrietta Hubal of Trenton, N.J., and her sister-in-law, Ethel Kolczynski, also of Trenton.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl, Casmire and Chester and her sisters, Sally Gulden and Adele Taylor; her sister-in-law, Sophie Kolczynski; her brother-in-law, Joseph Hubal and her great-grandchild, John Henry Kronenberger.

She leaves behind her grandchildren, Kurt John Hauschka and his wife, Patty, Gregory Edward Scerba, Cheryl Cummings and her husband, Troy, and Kristy-Ann Bjornas and her husband, Guttorm Martin. Also her great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn and John Cooper Kronenberger and their father, Jack; Matthew, Damon and Vanessa Scerba, and their mother, Rosemary, Trisha Nicole Hauschka and Ingrid Rose Bjornas, as well as many loved nieces and nephews and godchildren.

She leaves behind her "special family" Henry (Hank) and Jane Wilmanski and their daughters, Susan and Linda and their families of Middletown, Conn., and her very dear friends, Joan and Paul Spellman, who helped make her later years very happy and fulfilled.

Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by R.W. Edgerly and Sons Funeral Home.
