The "candy man", was always so nice, went there for my personal & church functions. He always helped the young kids by giving them jobs in the store.

Wow time flies by to fast and we are losing all of the good people. "Mr. Leddy" to most of us in our 40s now was is and always will be the 1 staple in the neighborhood that you will forever remember. He is missed but we are so happy his son has chose to carry on what he started. Thank you for being the wonderful man you were.

Leddy as we knew him was a true Gem to the old neighborhood when I was growing up. A very generous man with a huge heart. They dont make them like him anymore. May you Rest In Peace Leddy

I spoke to Mr. Nall on the phone in the hospital a couple of times and I am glad he knew how much everyone loved and appreciated him. I always will remember the Mansfield house and Mr. Nalls' artist wife, Mary Helen and her black army boots. My girlhood friendship with Mary Pat "the Hardy boys, Frank and Joe)and Bethie and her fabulously long hair and my first boyfriend, Mr. Cratchit, Jim and Joey and his ponytail, Mike with those soulful eyes, Hippie Bob, and little Danny. Then, from the city to a farmhouse in Holly ! Wow, what a dream!! Working in the Leddys' candy store and the dogs, Vodoo and Toulouse Latrec, Boondas. My first Bouvier, "La Petite Shu-Shu de Art" and blonde "Woodie" from big ole'Sugar Bear. I still have those Bouviers breaking my heart to this day. I loved you all then and I love you all now! Blessings to you all. Lois Schoenrock-Lemon

How do you say thank you to a man who has done so much for your community just by being himself? For those he has touched it is immeasurable from 10 on up for me this man has been nothing but honest, friendly and a staple in our neighborhood. Most of us have grown up are in our 40s, moved elsewhere, yet still comeback. Initially it was Mike's Sweet shop and Mr Leddy's then only Mr. Leddy's stood the test of time. His son, current owner has the same qualities as his father, who we all knew as "Mr. Leddy". Thank you for allowing us into your lives and for being a part of our lives and memories. MUCH LOVE GOES TO YOUR FAMILY. HE WILL BE MISSED. La-Tanya in the birthday book dated 7-27-1987
