He is survived by a daughter, Helen (Charles) Clifton, Pollard's Bend; sons, Demetrius Washington, Gadsden, and Michael (Rashida) DuPree, Centre; seven grandchildren; sister, Evie (Larkin) Coleman, Newark, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Janice Cowser, Harlan, Ky.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
