Dear James,
You'll be missed in Warszawa (PL) where you had many friends... in my regular Sunday-Brunch-group you were an 'always2be' attendee... we loved conversations with you... as well I did myself, philosophical as these meetings always where during the meetings outside this group, where I brought you cheese (from The Netherlands) and Polish asparagus (from our fields near Poznan)
Best memories... pity you couldn't stay longer ;-)
Cheers, Jurgen (Dutch in Warszawa)

When I was at UF circa 1986, "Dr. MojoRisin" as we affectionately called him, taught 3 or 4 courses. I took all of them. He was a master practitioner of the Socratic method. Always challenging us to examine our views of the world and what shapes them. One day he donned a Mao cap and ordered each of us to confess our crimes against the party or denounce a classmate as a "class traitor". On another occasion he made us repeatedly watch the Wendy's commercial of a mock Soviet fashion show. At first we all thought it was hilarious, but after around 6 times, once the humor wore off, we began to see the stereotypes. He was witty, fun, engaging, generous and helpful, amongst other things. I will always treasure the fond memories of those times I spent under the tutelage of such a wonderful teacher and friend. My love, condolences and sincerest sympathies go out to his large and loving family.

May you be blessed on the journey you are now on. You were right: the most important experience of my life was becoming the mom of Kate, and the stepmom of Danuta, Steven and Keith!
