Raymond Aughenbaugh Obituary

Raymond James Aughenbaugh III, 59, of Clearfield, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Penn Highlands Hospital – DuBois.

Born September 30, 1962 in Clearfield, he was the son of Raymond J. Jr. and Helen (Greene) Aughenbaugh. Mr. Aughenbaugh was employed by TAFCO in Hyde for 28+ years as a sheet metal worker. He was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School.

He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local # 12 in Pittsburgh and enjoyed the outdoors, bonfires, cookouts, and loved gaming on his PS4 and playing World of Warcraft.

On June 25, 1994 in Curwensville, he wed the former Dawn Gearhart who survives along with his mother of Apollo; two children: Raymond James Aughenbaugh IV and his Fiancée Shante Newkirk and their children Raymond James V and Malachi Michael Aughenbaugh all of Clearfield and Rebecca Elizabeth Traylor and her husband Talon and their children Dominic James, Talon George and Mia Gene Traylor all of Curwensville.

Also surviving are six siblings: David L. Aughenbaugh and Ernest Aughenbaugh and wife Dayna both of Vandergrift; Judy Aughenbaugh and Florence Lytle both of Clearfield; Melissa Clorp and husband Dean of Lower Burrell; and Rosey Aughenbaugh of Apollo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, both grandparents, a niece, and two Uncles Fred and Edward Aughenbaugh.

Funeral Services for Mr. Aughenbaugh will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM

The family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to the Clearfield County Cancer Support Inc. Society * c/o 610 Susquehanna Avenue Curwensville, PA 16833.
