Lurlene Misenheimer Obituary
Lurlene retired from IBM after many years of service. She was a member of Trinity Church of the Naza-rene and was a wonderful
Christian woman who always put the needs of others before her own. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who worried for her family and friends' wellbeing. Lurlene did not meet strangers, she loved to talk and had a beautiful, welcoming heart. She will be missed.
Survivors of Lurlene include her children and spouses, James Clay and Janet Brock of Charlotte; Va-lerie and Craig DuTremble of Troutman; sister, Mary Maloy; brother, Donald Johnson, both of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jeff Brock, Omah Charlene Sinclair, Andrea Schmittle (Bradley), David Hayes, Jordan DuTremble, and Remy DuTremble; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Ray Misenheimer, and her brother, Olin Johnson, Jr.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Belmont.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Michael Barefield officiating.
Entombment will be at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Charlotte, NC 28207.
