Dorothy Sullivan Obituary

Dorothy J. Sullivan
February 14, 1928 - May 17, 2015
Services for Dorothy J. Sullivan of Parker CO will be at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction on Friday, May 22 at 11:00. Burial follows in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Dorothy was born February 14, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa where she lived until she married Charles Sullivan in 1949. Dorothy and "Sully" resided in Denver until his retirement when they moved to Montana. In 1980, they settled in Grand Junction, where they enjoyed their beloved mountains until Sully's death in 1990. Dorothy was married to Ray Johnston from 2003 until his death in 2005. She moved to Lincoln Meadows in Parker in 2010, to be close to her son.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Don (Nancy) Sullivan of Parker; her daughter, Ann (Pat) Fitzgerald of San Jose, CA, and her son, Craig (Betty) Sullivan; ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy lived every moment serving others, from children with severe mental handicaps to volunteering at St. Mary's Hospital, Grand Junction for over 15 years. She served in her church every place she lived. She loved to knit, watercolor, walk in the mountains and shop. But above all, she was devoted to her Lord Jesus, with whom she resides today.
