Kenneth R. Basford
April 25, 1948 - January 11, 2015
Kenneth R. Basford passed away January 11, 2015. He was born April 25, 1948 in Gunnison, CO to Carol and Henry Basford. He grew up in Sargents, Colorado, and attended Gunnison High School and Denver Mechanics School.
Kenneth served in the Army from 1967 to 1969 serving in Vietnam. He retired from the retail business as an Assistant Manager.
Kenneth loved camping, four-wheeling, and teasing people. He also loved to "McGyver" things, and always had a joke and a smile.
He is survived by his lifetime partner, Janesse Inda of Grand Junction; sons, Christopher (Liz) Basford of Las Vegas, Nevada and Keith (Chelcy) Basford of Fruita; step-children, Sabrena (William Troutwine) Inda of Grand Junction and Marty (Shelly) Inda of Alaska; nine grandchildren; and sister, Judy Sandifer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Carol Basford, and his sister, Terry Obrosler.
Services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
